We have heard hard work pays so we continue to be diligent, focused and work hard tirelessly in the hope that we will reach our goal. But what we don’t realize is that you can’t get to the diamonds if you are digging down the wrong cave. You can’t use a jack knife and a spade where you need a drill and a shovel. The effort we put in is rarely realistic and then somewhere down the line we give up.
But it takes helluva lotta guts to accept that and be ready to change. BE READY TO FORGET WHO YOU WERE, TO BECOME WHO YOU WANT TO BE. This line holds true in any field of work, any educational pursuit, any learning experience, any bodily change you want.
We come pre-conditioned, prejudiced, though none will agree, always having a certain fixed mindset about things expected from us by our teachers, parents, employers and vice versa too. The Zen of the matter is we do not allow ourselves to tread on undiscovered paths, see possibilities beyond the naked eye of our intelligence. Nor do we open our mind to enrich ourselves with knowledge of things beyond what we have been taught.
We allow opinionated advice or judgements to cloud our path. There is never a set way that will work for everyone. People all over the world are searching for people who think out of the box, something new, that is not a herd mentality, something that you believe in with so much passion that it forces the other to sit up and have a look. Something that one remembers long after it’s done.
So, ask yourself what is it that is really holding you back? Your own personality, your education, your status, people around you? If you have answered yes to even one of these questions, then realize that all that you are actually looking is for an excuse to blame someone else or something else for your failure. You have already begun to dig the grave to your dreams.
When we look towards others to validate what we think is good for ourselves that in itself is a non-belief in your own capacity, in your own goal. Why would anyone believe in YOU then, when you don’t believe in yourself! I don’t mean a mindless blind belief but that which gives you a direction that is enthused with your energy, a focus that drives you to work harder, a hunger that compels your passion to achieve.
Single minded passion, perseverance, and dedicated hardwork is the only thing that opens the doors to your dream. Your mind is capable of doing anything you want it to do. Believe in YOU.
