If you want to party, Mykonos is the place to be. Unlike my other travel stories, this one is only going to be on a high. High on life, high on adrenalin, high on spirits. One rests only to groove again. So I’m going to list out the best day and night hangouts that make sure you don’t come down from your flight.

Wake up to a lazy swim, sunbathe if it’s the golden tan you want or splurge on with a therapeutic massage as you get geared to face the day.

The afternoon should begin at Nammos. The celeb hangout of the who’s who, the fashion fiesta for the resort n swimwear, gorgeous faces and hot bodies straight out of Baywatch. It doesn’t end there… has a cuisine of gastronomical delight right from sushis to truffle pasta, wasabi prawns to crunchy salads and the bartenders can whip up cocktails that could put a fruit rainbow to shame. The west wing later turns into a mad hatter’s party with everyone spraying champagne and guests dancing on tables while the east wing is the slightly the sober of the two, with the flirty bartenders whipping up the shots.

If a day start to a party is not what you are looking for and some easy chilled time is what you want with no compromise to cuisine then Mamalouka is where you should head. Be it fresh fish or the Italian spread or the desserts that are an orgasmic delight with the best sangrias, it the perfect luncheon.

Tropicana is a day version of beach nightclub. Reach before sundown and you will be welcomed by loud music, the DJ playing the latest of Justin Beiber to Pitbull and the sorts. The crowd is in their 20’s and 30’s and rocking. It’s hard not to ride the wave of enthusiasm. The Host of Tropicana is SASA, who wears an elephant head swimming trunk and swings it unashamedly, talking away into the mike, as he gets the party grooving and pumps up the spirit.

As afternoon melts into evening, Scorpios continues the flavor of Tropicana in a slightly less flamboyant way, enough to resurrect your energy for the night to follow. The ambiance is great, the crowd is lesser, though more pricey than Tropicana it’s the place to watch the sun go down. It’s almost like weaning off the party mode to rest a bit, you can even lounge on a sunbed there and catch up on your 40winks before the burst of Mykonos life inflates your energy store again..

Once refreshed you should head to the Remezzo for the best fine dining experience of Greek cuisine. Split into different levels, the dining and bar area have a perfect Greek feel with the white washed walls. The drinks are infused with a variety of flavors ; lemongrass, orange, cinnamon, chillie, cucumber to mention a few. Each presented extremely artistically. The food is exquisite right from the calamari to the carpaccio, the quinoa salad to the moussaka. Though it can burn quite a hole in your pocket, it definitely is an experience for your tastebuds.

Post the early dinner to line up your stomach, you should head to Passo, the bar with the latin twist. One can try the Passo Doble or atleast sway to the numbers of the 80’s and then stay on to swing to the latin beats. However, since its small it does tend to get overcrowded. If that hampers your style you can head to Queen, the champagne bar cocooned by the top brands such as Chopard, Piaget, FrankMuller and LV. It’s no wonder then that it is called the Queen. What makes this different is they have a saxophonist enhancing the dj’s music…almost like a “jugalbandi”.

Next to Queen is Astra, one of the top most bars in Mykonos. The chances that one may bump into Paris Hilton here, are scaled high. To guarantee that one isn’t turned away if you haven’t secured a reservation it is better to reach there before 10pm. However, if you don’t have a table it does become a challenge to even head to the bar to replenish a drink.

The easier and more fun option is to head to Little Venice where a string of bars offer music and ambiance of your choice. I would highly recommend Semeli as it is on the tip of the island town. To stand with the wind spraying tiny drops of cold sea water as the waves dash against the rocks is a moment in fantasy.

And if one feels the need to feel the adrenalin rush again, head to the Scandanavian bar. It takes you back to the college socials, Packed to groove to the latest music, it’s a shoal of sweaty bodies, thumping in the blinking lights. And if you have grown out of the teenage trip then head to Cavo Paradiso. Out in the open, where you can watch the waves lash in rhythm to your heart. The crowd is the young hip crowd that keeps the night as young and happening as you would want it to be. Like they say in Mykonos the party never stops.

So if you want to party, Mykonos it has to be.

Hey there just wanted to give you a quick heads up. The words in your post seem to be running off the screen in Ie. I’m not sure if this is a formatting issue or something to do with browser compatibility but I thought I’d post to let you know. The design look great though! Hope you get the issue resolved soon. Many thanks

With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or copyright violation? My site has a lot of unique content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it seems a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my authorization. Do you know any methods to help prevent content from being stolen? I’d definitely appreciate it.
